The cathedral city of Chester is the county town of Cheshire and one of the best preserved and most beautiful cities in the UK. The unique Rows shopping galleries are the envy of the world and Chester’s medieval walls form the most complete circuit around any town or city in England. It is without doubt the perfect place in which to shop, work, live and visit; and indeed over eight million visitors come to the City each year. It is the task of the CH1ChesterBID to ensure that this continues and improves.
CH1ChesterBID, a not-for-profit organisation, operates within a defined geographical area, where business ratepayers have voted to invest collectively in local improvements that are in addition to those that are already delivered by local statutory bodies. Working with city partner organisations such as Cheshire West and Chester Council and Marketing Cheshire, the BID delivers leadership along with marketing and operational improvements for the businesses within the BID area. CH1ChesterBID comprises a diverse mix of local and national business representatives, working collectively to deliver actions that make a difference.
